Candidate Will Be on Tradeshow Floor Friday & Hospitality Suites Friday Evening, Sacramento, CA
The American Agents Alliance announced today that former Assembly Republican Leader and current candidate for Insurance Commissioner, Mike Villines, will be attending the Alliance 2010 Convention & Expo.
“We have enjoyed working with Mike over the years in the Legislature. His record of leadership on important issues that impact business owners and insurance producers throughout California is excellent,” said Michael D’Arelli, executive director of the Alliance.
“Not only did Mike lead with distinction for over two-and-a-half years, but he was also one of the longest-serving Republican Leaders in the last twenty-five years. And, he was a recipient of the prestigious John F. Kennedy Profiles in Courage award in 2010,” said D’Arelli.
While Republican Leader, Mike’s leadership skills helped set the tone for major tax code revisions to encourage business development in California; the formation of public/private partnerships to bring public works projects on-line faster; categorical school funding reforms that allow more budget flexibility; and streamlined regulations that balance environmental protection and natural resource preservation with the critical need of growing our economy.
Additionally, he continues developing a policy that addresses California’s growing water and clean energy needs for our state. “Mike is going to be at the convention late Friday afternoon, walking the tradeshow floor, meeting attendees and listening to issues of importance to the industry. He’ll be at the Friday evening hospitality suites, so attendees wanting to personally meet Mike should be at the convention Friday afternoon and into the evening,” said D’Arelli.”
