SACRAMENTO, CA, March 29, 2011 — The American Agents Alliance (the Alliance) today announced that California Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones will headline the largest property and casualty convention in the west—the Alliance’s annual convention.
“Our four-day annual convention is a great opportunity for agents, brokers, insurance carriers and vendors to interact with our new commissioner,” says Mike D’Arelli, executive director of the Alliance.
“Our members work on Main Street, not Wall Street, and they share the same passion as the commissioner to serve consumers. Our members are very excited to listen to the commissioner and explore areas where we can work together to better serve consumers.”
Commissioner Jones will address convention attendees during Saturday’s lunch, which will expose attendees to some of the most important issues facing independent insurance agents and the industry, including the economy, commercial and personal lines market conditions, insurance regulation, health care reform, and other timely and important industry issues.
The American Agents Alliance Convention & Expo is the insurance industry’s largest property and casualty show in the west. This year’s event will take place September 29th – October 2nd, at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa in Palm Desert. Other highlights of the Convention & Expo include a 33,000 square foot tradeshow floor packed with insurance companies and industry vendors, sales and marketing workshops, continuing education and professional development courses, hospitality suites and networking opportunities, a golf tournament, a Texas hold ‘em poker tournament, two dance parties, two live bands, and much more.
