Remember how your mom was always reminding you to say “thanks?” Well, now’s the time to put that training to good use with these five simple ways to thank your loyal clients:
Pick up the phone. An unexpected phone call to say “thanks” during the middle of a hectic day can do wonders to boost your reputation – and encourage lots of spontaneous positive word-of-mouth advertising. Piggyback it by asking them if there’s anything you can do to make their experience better.
Send a note. Handwritten notes that arrive via “snail mail” are a treat these days. Invest in some blank notecards and make it your mission to send a handwritten note regularly.
Send an eCard. The modern version of a handwritten note isn’t as charmingly old-fashioned, but it still conveys your sentiments.
Offer a $5 gift card to a local coffee shop. Who doesn’t love coffee? Or tea or hot cocoa or …? A small-denomination gift card to a coffee shop or bakery isn’t much more than a fancy greeting card, but it’s a lot tastier.
Offer tickets to a local event. This is a great way to say thanks and promote a local group at the same time.
