Is Your Agency Website Responsive?

Almost three-quarters of people using the Internet do so on multiple devices, including laptops, desktops, tablets and smartphones. If your insurance agency website isn’t designed to look great across all these platforms, you could be alienating your clients.

Here are some tips to make sure your site is designed to be responsive no matter how it’s viewed:

  1. Design in landscape mode, ideally using a smartphone viewport to preview as you design. Smartphone screens are typically the broadest, so beginning the design process here means your site will look good across a range of devices.

  2. Make sure your forms are touch-friendly. Evaluate how they scroll and scale as well as how responsive your buttons are.

  3. Spin and scroll. Note how your site looks in both portrait and landscape mode, and scroll from top to bottom to ensure your look and style are consistent.

  4. Make sure your images are crisp and clear. Look for images that are bold and easy to read across all platforms.

  5. Use tabs. Minimize the need to scroll by adding tabs to navigate to different pages. Keep pages uncluttered and clean for easier navigation and a better client experience overall.
